More affordable Whois Privacy prices

Simone Carletti's profile picture Simone Carletti on

Today I'm happy to announce that, effectively immediately, we've decreased the price for the whois privacy service from $8/year to as low as $2/year.

The changes are applied to all new plans: both monthly and yearly plans, as well as resellers.

Instead of a fixed price, the new price will vary depending on the subscribed plan as follows:

  • personal / basic reseller: $3/year per domain
  • professional / expert reseller: $2/year per domain
  • enterprises / resellers: optional

For all the legacy plans the price has not changed and is still $8/year per domain.

The whois privacy price decrease is the first of a series of improvements to our whois privacy service.

In the last couple of years we've noticed a considerable increase in the amount of spam following a new domain registration. One way to reduce spam follwing domain registrations is to hide private contact details in the whois records, whenever possible.

Many of you wrote via customer support to provide feedback about our current whois privacy service, features, and price. One of the most recurring messages we've received was about the high entry price, and we're happy to be able to provide a more affordable service today.

You can enable the WHOIS privacy protection from your domain page or the domain list. Follow these instructions to enable now the whois privacy for your registered domains.

We will continue to work to improve our whois privacy integration. If you have any feedback, don't hesitate to contact us.
