In November 2020, I decided to become a nomad and travel the world living off of the back of my motorbike. Though it wasn't a great year to start (COVID-19 was running rampant in Europe), travelling the world has always been a big dream of mine, and I would make it happen this time!
Travelling without a set destination can be daunting at first, but you soon find out how liberating it really is! Luckily for me, I had recently started contracting for DNSimple. This allowed me to begin my journey into the unknown.
I started writing three of the API clients for the company – C#, Python, and PHP. This gave me a glimpse into the DNS world. From there, I started spending time coaching the team, where working with people and helping them overcome challenges has been a rewarding experience.
From now on, I'll be taking on what's commonly known as a Developer Advocate role. I'll be working closely with you on our open source projects, making sure we provide you with all the domain management tools you need to succeed in your business - including robust developer and support documentation.
If you're a Python or PHP developer, you'll be able to use our API natively. I worked on these two clients last year, and it's time to officially let them come out of beta and see the light of day. If you want to read more about what you can do with our API, we've got a post for you.
First up is MicroConf Europe from October 3rd-5th in Croatia. MicroConf focuses on startups with an emphasis on SaaS, and I'll be there in-person to answer all your DNS and domain management questions.
On Wednesday Oct. 13th, from 12.15 to 1.00pm CET, I'll be giving a talk at API Conference - Berlin. This year's API Conference is fully online, so you can join me from across the globe to learn how our API saves you time and money.
I'm really excited to interact with you in the future and help you thrive in your business. Drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to know more about how we can work together. If you're not using DNSimple yet, give us a try free for 30 days.
Father, coffee aficionado, nomad and motorbikes. When he's not helping developers and customers succeed in their businesses, you can find him on his motorbike exploring the world.
Use DNSimple's Domain Access Control to limit what each member can access on a per-domain or per-zone basis.
DNSimple is moving our DNSSEC out of beta and into general availability.
