ALIAS records now respect the TTL
This is just a quick note to everyone using ALIAS records. All ALIAS records will now respect their TTL value set at DNSimple. The default TTL is 1 hour but you can change it to a lower value if you would like.
This is different than the previous setup where the TTL was pulled from the resolved A records. Given that records should have a consistent TTL across all authoritative name servers the new configuration is both more accurate and provides better control to you.
I break things so Simone continues to have plenty to do. I occasionally have useful ideas, like building a domain and DNS provider that doesn't suck.
We think domain management should be easy.
That's why we continue building DNSimple.
Introducing Domain Access Control
Use DNSimple's Domain Access Control to limit what each member can access on a per-domain or per-zone basis.
Get Stronger Account Protection with Web Authentication (WebAuthn) Support
Protect your DNS assets and get stronger MFA with DNSimple's support for the Web Authentication API.
