Improved account navigation and invoice filters

DNSimple customers across all plans will benefit from smoother navigation and better usability throughout the app with:

Account switching — Now faster and more user-friendly with higher contrast making text easier to read for all customers. Get more details in this post.

Multi-account management — Consolidates key account data, streamlines communication, and provides a unified interface for managing multiple contracts, giving Enterprise and Reseller customers more scalable, secure, and organized domain and DNS management. Explore multi-account management in this article.

Invoice filtering — Provides quick, reliable access to invoices for auditing, reconciliation, and compliance. Save time by searching for invoices using the invoice number, type, state, description, and date. Learn more about invoice filters.

New zone verification process

Now when you add a zone to DNSimple, we may require you to verify ownership of the domain if the domain/zone was previously in a different account, and the domain is pointed at DNSimple's name servers (including vanity name servers).

Everyone relies on secure domain routing and will benefit from these protections. Preventing DNS takeover not only safeguards your domains, it helps ensure a more secure internet for all. Read more about the verification process.

CAA record tags

DNSimple is among the first DNS providers to fully support these new CAA record tags for a more secure, standards-compliant domain management process.

contactemail and contactphone tags let domain owners specify how certificate authorities (CAs) should reach out to confirm certificate requests. This enables CAs to automatically validate SSL certificate requests by emailing or calling designated contacts.

Get all the details about the CA/Browser Forum along with baseline requirements for contactphone and contactemail.

DNSSEC comics

I break things so Simone continues to have plenty to do. I occasionally have useful ideas, like building a domain and DNS provider that doesn't suck.

We think domain management should be easy.
That's why we continue building DNSimple.
